Kroz jedanaest poglavlja obrađene su mnoge teme koje se dotiču anatomije, fiziologije i histološke građe kljuna, preko njegovih mnogobrojnih funkcija, različitih urođenih i stečenih poremećaja i mogućnosti njihovih korekcija. Autor se osvrnuo i na osnovne bolesti kljuna, kao i načine dijagnostičke i terapijske procedure koje se sprovode. Čitavo poglavlje je posvećeno osnovnim principima nege kljuna sa pregršt korisnih saveta. Knjiga je bogato ilustrovana kvalitetnim fotografijama u koloru koje je većinom napravio sam autor.
